The LFTP Summer School welcomes applicants from a wide range of educational backgrounds. We invite applications from across the globe and from both undergraduate and graduate students as well as from young professionals interested in the topics related to transitional justice, international relations, conflict analysis and resolution, peace research, security studies, preventative diplomacy, anthropology, international law, history, sociology and ethnicity studies. Although most participants will currently be enrolled at a university or college, we also welcome applicants who have been away from formal education for some years. The participants are expected to have developed, or are in the process of developing, some basic background knowledge of the Balkan region and to demonstrate their interest in post-conflict issues and BiH in particular.

A certificate of successful completion of the LFTP summer school will be issued upon completion of the follow tasks:

  • Attending the sessions and field trips;
  • Active participation during class sessions and field trips; and
  • A research paper or substantive reflective piece dealing with one or more aspects of the summer school (details to follow).

NOTE: Selection of the applicants is going to be made on a rolling basis, and the number of participants is limited to 20 places. The sooner you apply the greater your chances are of being accepted.
